Data is organized by Grower and Field.

Under each field is a directory for holding data.

The directory can hold any type of file, but only shape files, BMP files, and JPG files are currently supported for display.

Folders can also be created for further storing data of different categories.

All GPS information is collected on one tab for display.

On the Standard mark page is where the controls for adding points, lines, and polygons to existing shape files is controlled.

Offsets are available for changing the position that is written to the file, to allow you to stay off the rough field boundaries, and yet still mark that location.

Point, Line, and Polygon shape files can all be created for data collection.

There are 3 of these pages of Quick Mark Buttons.

Each of them is user defined as to the item he would like to mark.

They are also user defined as to whether a press of the button drops one single point, or continues to drop points until it is pressed again.

Along with collecting and displaying new data. Existing data can also be displayed on screen.

To the left you see soil type polygons overlaid on a satellite image.

Existing data can added into the field directory by drag and drop through Windows Explorer.

A tape measure page allows for using your GPS as a tool for measuring distances and angles from point to point.
Pocket Field Recs is a data collection package for collecting field data such as, boundaries, tile lines, weeds, soil sample points etc.  It also displays background data for navigation in the field for zone soil sampling, etc.

Pocket Field Recs now requires the Microsoft .NET Compact Framework Version 3.5.

Version 2.0 Will not run on Pocket PC 2002 devices.

The download file above is a ZIP file containing the full setup routine for Pocket Field Recs. Once you have your iPaq connected using ActiveSync, you can unzip this file and Click on "Setup.exe" to install the software.
