Ag Data Viewer (ADV)
is designed to work with several different imagery formats,
including most geo-referenced .jpg, .grd,
.bmp, .tif, .ecw, .sid file formats. ADV is capable of cropping
and cutting most of these images to an individual field for easy
filing and exporting. Here is a quick view of ADV and Imagery
Mapping.
Image geo-referencing
- can be done simply and quickly with ADV by using
geo-referenced field boundaries. Satellite images are seldom
properly geo-referenced.
Extracting an Image
- can be done easily, creating an image that could contain up to
255 colors.
Smoothing Images
- and reducing the boarder effect on these low resolution
satellite images helps it represent visually what is happening
in the field. Note the file has now been saved into the proper
field and is stored here as a .grd format.
Zone creation
- takes the image to the next step for soil sampling or zone
management. ADV gives you several mathematical options for
helping you to create these zones. You can customize these zones
to reflect your knowledge of the field. This images can be
exported to a bitmap format for use with other programs and
PDA's.
